my story

Known as The Bible Lady, I’m passionate about expository teaching and love connecting with others. As a recovering introvert, my heart is to help women press into God’s Word, hold on to Jesus, and stand firm in their faith.

My husband, Shawn, and I have been married for over 35 years, serving together in ministry, raising two of the most important people in the world, and recently gaining another through marriage.

My love for mothering and teaching has extended beyond my home to an island called Hispaniola, where Shawn and I have been blessed to serve and support missions to children in Haiti.

Learning and teaching have been a lifelong journey for me. Much of my career was dedicated to mathematics education while serving in church leadership for over 25 years, speaking, and teaching women’s Bible study. As a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary with a master’s degree in Biblical and Theological Studies, I understand the importance of creating an atmosphere of safety and transparency—teaching truth with kindness and compassion.
